  • A man is detained by police outside Downing Street June 21st 2017, London, United Kingdom. He was alledgedly not part of the demonstration and was antagonising the crowd for no reason. Hundreds marched protesting against the Government's respond to the Grenfell Tower disaster. The mood was angry but peacefull and ended on Parliament Square green after police made people get of the streets and let traffic re-assume.

Hong Kong (香港; "Fragrant Harbour"), officially known as Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China since the hand-over from the United Kingdom in 1997 under the principle of "one country, two systsems".  7 million people live on 1,104km square, making it the most vertivcal city in the world. Hong Kong is one of the world's leading financial centres along side London and New York, it has one of the highest income per capita in the world as well the moste severe income inequality amongst advanced economies. The Hong Kong civil society is highly regulated but has at the same time one of the most lassiez-faire economies with low taxation and free trade. Civil unrest and political dissent is unusual but in 2014 the Umbrella Movenment took to the streets of Hong Kong demanding democracy and universal suffrage. 93 % are ethnic Chinese, mostly Cantonese speaking.

  • Wilson's wedding day...The wedding photograph, Wilson on the right with his wife and best man. With him is a young relative and his wife is carrying their small child on her chest. Wilson and his wife has been seeing each other for 5 years and have a baby together but today is their official wedding day.. .It is mainly Maasais who live in the Loita Hills up above the Serengeti plains. They live in small villages and communities called bomas and live mainly of raising and selling live stock such as cattle and goats. Its a very remote region in Kenya, hard to get to without a four wheel drive with very little infrastructure and up till 2010 no mobile phone network. The Maasais are well known though out Kenya and the world for their colorful clothing and their way of keeping their old traditions alive.

  • A homeless man has just had his chest x-rayed and radiographer Diana is reading the image on screen which comes up immediately after exposure. She shows him his lungs and explains that he does not have TB. The rates of tuberculosis in London are higher than any other Western European capital and is a major health problem. Tuberculosis is highly contagious, it is treatable, but in the event of no treatment it is often deadly. The MXU, the Mobile X-ray Unit, is a facility run by the NHS. The MXU is a Tuberculosis screening service on wheels where people can have their chest x-rayed and within minutes be either cleared of TB - or in case of any TB symptoms showing up on the X-rays, be referred to a hospital for further tests and possible treatment. The MXU is aimed at hard to reach groups like homeless people, drug or alcohol abuser and prisoners. The van is the only one in the UK and operates around London where it visits hostels, prisons and community centres where groups of hard to reach clients usually gather. On the van is a team of nurses, radiographers, social and outreach workers and expert technicians.The MXU van is a part of the NHS department Find and Treat..

In protest against the bill which aim to deconstruct and privatise large parts of the NHS UK Uncut activists together with health workers and trade unionists blocked the Westminster Bridge from 1pm til 5.30pm.

  • Dhaka, Bangladesh. .The Stars Foundation visiting CSID..Centre for Services and Information on Disability (CSID) is a charity working for intergrating disabled children into mainstream society. Rasel, living near the  railway tracks in Tejgaon. Rasel is hearing impaired but CSID has provided hime with hearing aid, school uniform and the school fees. Rasel want to be either a police man or a lawyer when he grows up. He lives with his mother and father and CSID has helped his fatehr set up a vegetable shop to help them raise their income and to keep Rasel from begging or working.

With less than one week until the UK is supposed to be leaving the European Union, the final result still hangs in the balance. An estimated one million protesters gathered to make political leaders take notice and to give the British public a vote on the final Brexit deal. The TV arrived in Lagos in container no 4629416.

  • The Stars Foundation visiting Childline Kenya in Nairobi. ..A counsellor on the phone to a caller who is asking for advice or help. The counsellors manning the phones are all trained volunteers working in 12 hour shifts. The calls they take can range from advice on where to go to get more information on various forms of child abuse, to taking calls prompting immediate action to rescue a child somewhere in Kenya. The counsellors' identity is kept secret to protect them from risk...The help line number is 116, the first 3-digit only helpline number in Africa.
