  • Constance Whiston, one of 6 defendants in the high court appeal against the the super injunction taken out by UKOG to stop protesting at the Leith Hill site. The injunction will curb many of the rights to protest taken for granted and the 6 women see it as an infringment of their rights - and everybody's right to protest. Constance is from Dorking and has lived in the Save leith Hill protectors camp since 2016. To her the camp is a physical manifestation of the alternative to the world of oil exploarationand big money.   • Around 40 activists dressed as animals invaded the PR firm Bell Pottinger in central London to expose their ties with fracking as part of a long running campaign against fracking by the activist group Reclaim the Power called Break the Chain.<br />
The activist spend a short while in the lobby  with zebras throwing leaves, monkeys spreading animal manure and a squid spraying ‘ink’ on the windows before leaving peacefully.<br />
Bell Pottinger currently represent Centrica which is a major fracking investor in the UK according to the group's press release and the company has in the past helped the fracking company Quadrilla restore their reputation.

  • Anti-fracking climate activists from Reclaim the Power blocking a gate to Leapers Wood quarry, March 27th 2017 near Lancaster, United Kingdom. The quarry is owned by Tarmac, a crh pompany which supposedly is supplying aggregates to the building of fracking sites in Lancashire.  The blockad, done by one woman in a swing, is causing huge disruption and is part of the groups targeting of companies supplying to the fracking industry. The blockade is the first of an announced run of direct actions called Break the Chain, tageting the supply chain of the fracking industry.
