Tuberculosis is highly contagious, it is treatable, but in the event of no treatment it is often deadly. The MXU, the Mobile X-ray Unit, is a facility run by the NHS. The MXU is a Tuberculosis screening service on wheels where people can have their chest x-rayed and within minutes be either cleared of TB - or in case of any TB symptoms showing up on the X-rays, be referred to a hospital for further tests and possible treatment. The MXU is aimed at hard to reach groups like homeless people, drug or alcohol abuser and prisoners. The van is the only one in the UK and operates around London where it visits hostels, prisons and community centres where groups of hard to reach clients usually gather. Hong Kong (香港; "Fragrant Harbour"), officially known as Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China since the hand-over from the United Kingdom in 1997 under the principle of "one country, two systsems".  7 million people live on 1,104km square, making it the most vertivcal city in the world. Hong Kong is one of the world's leading financial centres along side London and New York, it has one of the highest income per capita in the world as well the moste severe income inequality amongst advanced economies. The Hong Kong civil society is highly regulated but has at the same time one of the most lassiez-faire economies with low taxation and free trade. Civil unrest and political dissent is unusual but in 2014 the Umbrella Movenment took to the streets of Hong Kong demanding democracy and universal suffrage. 93 % are ethnic Chinese, mostly Cantonese speaking.

  • In Ein El-Hilweh refugee camp, home to 75.000 Palestinians. Naba'a psychologist Rouda Ismael visits Mohammed at his granmothers home. His father has left his Mohammeds mother and is now living with a new wife and children. Mohammed is not allowed by his father to live with mother and his father does not want him so he would be homeless had his father's mother not taken him in. All this and other bad exoeriences has had a profound impact on Mohammed and Rouda helps him get by and get better. Developmental Action Without Borders(Naba'a) work in Palestinian refugee camps across Lebanon to help children in the camps.  The camps are densely over-crowded and many of the children are 4th generation refugees living in Lebanon with no citizenship or rights and under immense pressure. Naba'a is a mix of Palestinians and Lebanese and aim to give children a sense of security and freedom to express their needs and rights.Naba'a operates in communities governed by a multitude of political parties and religious groups and Naba'a keeps a strict independed line from any affiliation with any groups.

  • Shamsher Singh has been homeless since he got out of prison in the summer of 2012. He has recovered from tuberculosis and now needs a home. Here Rebecca from Hackney Housing interviews him to asses if he is eligible for a council flat. He is single and male and Rebecca is his last chance. He is with Reg from Hackney TB unit who works as support worker for recovered TB patients.
