Philippines - Negros Occidental - fireworks in the making
Workers at Jesus Fire Crackers assemble fire works called The Whistler. They do not use any protection and their hands are covered with gun powder. The highly explosive powder consists of Potassium, white and black sulfur. The fire works factory is hidden away in the woods near Hinigaran. Fire work is used a lot in the Philippines for celebrations and the festive season in Nov- Dec is a busy time for the fire works industry.
