At one point the YES campaign was in the lead and people cheered when the figures came in from Dundee.
The Forest Cafe was rammed with YES campaigners and voter watching the results come in through the night.

Scottish referendum in Edinburgh. All through out the day a huge number of voters turned out all over Scotland to vote in the independence referendum. The polls were open from 7am till 10pm and the count went on through-out the night with the final results announced early in the following morning.
