Simon Roscoe Blevins, 26, Richard Loizou, 31, Richard Roberts, 36 and Julian Brock, 47During a mass protest by locals and supporters in July 2017 which spontaneously brought a truck convoy bound for Preston New Road to a halt, the four climbed onto lorry cabs and stopped truck movement for four days.
Supportive locals aided the action by throwing up blankets, food and water to keep the protestors in place and prevent trucks from entering the drilling site. After a seven day jury trial at Preston Crown Court in August 2018, the four men were found guilty of Public Nuisance. Judge Altham has told them to expect “immediate custodial sentences” on 25th September 2018.
