Alternative rice farming in Boyolali District near Solo, Java, Indonesia. A farmer inspects rice seedlings planted according to new sustainable practices. The farmers are part of Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP), a world leading standard for sustainable rice. The SRP methods uses less water and treatment against pests and other threats is primarily plant based and so is fertilizer.
