Nakba76 March For Palestine

Hundreds of thousands of Pro-Palestine demonstrators marched through the streets of London on the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, demanding a ceasefire now, stop arming Israel and an end to the siege of Gaza. Nakba means ‘the catastrophe’ and refers to when 750.000 Palestinians were forced out of their homes and made to flee to neighbouring countries by Israeli forces at the time of the creation of Israel in 1948. The march was peaceful and ended up in a rally in Whitehall.
