Bill is a survivor of many illnesses. He is an OAP, retired stage hand at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and in the past he travelled the world with the company. With the rising food and energy prices he and his wife now finds it hard to make ends meet on the pension they get. It is his second visit to the Hackney Foodbank after a neighbour told him where to go to get help. They now live with their son, who moved back in 18 months ago after he fell on hard times. He is very happy with the help he gets, which includes food for his cat, and he does not like to moan but “where is the Government?’ he asks.
