Health professionals from Health for Extinction Rebellion stage a die-in outside the Energy Intelligence forum at the Hotel InterContinental on the 19th of October 2023, Central London, United Kingdom. Some of the activists laid in the road, pretending to be dead, while others tended to them and gave testimonies in a mock inquest into the reason why the people in the street had died. The activists pretending to be dead all had mock head stones describing the many ways people are currently dying across the world as a direct consequence of climate change, brought on by fossil fuels emissions. The hotel InterContinental is hosting the Energy Intelligence forum 2023, a three-day gathering of many of the largest fossil fuel companies in the world, including Equinor, Shell and Total and the protest was part of an ongoing campaign called Oily Money Out. The Energy Intelligence forum is formerly known as Oil and Money.
